In Gregory’s family, it’s a holiday tradition to sing your heart out until the wee hours – everything from sacred hymns to American standards, from Quebec classics to gospel and much more! Because Julia shares her dad’s enthusiasm for music and the festive season, it was only a matter of time before they recorded a father-daughter duet together. Their challenge was to write an original song based on an image of mom boogying around the tree after kissing Santa Claus.
Mission accomplished! In just a few hours, our dynamic duo had written their lyrics and their festive boogie was born.
“At first, it was just for ourselves and our family,” explains Gregory. “Then, we thought it would be fun to share our first father-daughter composition with every family. So here it is!”
Why boogie? Because for these two pianists, “boogie” means “party”.
